Joining Hill Country Youth Football League
by posted 03/05/2016

Exciting times are upon us and the 2016 Season brings a bright future with big changes.  For years, we have played as part of the Midtex Youth Football League.  As our great community of Bulverde continues to prosper and grow, our football and cheer association is beyond optimistic about these changes.  We are very excited to announce our decision to move our association to the Hill Country Youth Football League.  As we continue to keep our football players and cheerleaders and our strong Texan traditions a top priority, we strongly believe this decision supports our core values as an association.  Here are just a few of the benefits in becoming part of the HCYFL:

  • Opportunities to gain exposure and compete with up to fourteen different associations as Division 1 and Division 2 teams who share the same core values as the Texans. This will eliminate having to play our own Texan teams and the same associations over and over.We will not have to play another association more than once unless we meet them in the playoffs.

  • The majority of our games will no longer be split game day venues.Home or away, all levels play at the same venue for most of the season which will allow our Texans the ability to support one another.

  • A more equal division standard. As an example, all 4th graders play with 4th graders. No player will have to play up an age group due to a weight limit.

  • Practice Limitations after the fourth week of practice.Only two practices per week are allowed remembering academics come first.

We are hard at work to bring you a great 2016 Season.  Please continue to check back for important registration information and event dates at www.bulverdefootball.org or visit our Facebook page Bulverde Texans.  Our next scheduled board meeting is going to be held at the Fire Station near Johnson Ranch on Tuesday, March 8th, at 6:30.  We encourage anyone to come on out and attend the meeting.
